Sad Story

Today, I want to tell you a sad story. In 2016, we had to say goodbye to our best dog friend, Ken. He was a fighter, his whole life he wore the first leather collar we sewed for him at Slade Czech. It was a symbol for him, and eventually, Ken became a symbol and a brand for our company.

But then the fateful day came when we had to say goodbye. It was terribly sad. Ken is now our guardian angel and lies under his favorite linden tree in the garden. And what's craziest, we hung his collar and leash on a branch so he wouldn't leave us completely.

It's been 7 years since the collar has been hanging there, and we think of him every day. But that's just how fate wrote it, and we have to come to terms with it. Although it hurts and we have sadness in our hearts, we know that Ken is still watching over and protecting us, and that we were the best pack he could ever have.
